Child Safety Standards

The Tavern (developed by sixfootfool) strictly prohibits the sharing, distributing, or requesting of any material depicting or promoting child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

We comply with all relevant child safety laws, and we report violations to regional and national authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Reporting Violations

Users can report child safety concerns directly in-app using the "Report Content" buttons located on all posts, messages, and profiles. You may also report concerns immediately to our designated contact point at: admin@tavernapp.online.

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy informs you as to how we look after your personal data when you visit our website or use The Tavern mobile application.

1. Data We Collect

We collect, use, and store different kinds of personal data about you to provide our services:

Identity Data: Includes username, avatar image, and any linked third-party identifiers.
Contact Data: Includes email address used for authentication.
Content Data: Includes your LFG posts, group chat messages, applications, and profile information.
Technical Data: Includes device identifiers and app usage statistics.

2. How We Use Your Data

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to, primarily in the following circumstances:

To register you as a new user and manage your profile.
To provide the core functionality of the app, including group matchmaking and messaging.
To moderate content and enforce our community guidelines, including our Child Safety Standards (monitoring for CSAM/CSAE).
To serve non-personalized and personalized advertisements via Google AdMob (based on your tracking preferences).

3. Data Sharing

We may share your data with third-party service providers like Supabase (for database hosting) and Google AdMob (for advertising). We will also proactively disclose data to law enforcement, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), if we detect violations of our Child Safety Standards.

4. Data Security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way. We only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill these purposes.
